And actually impct the game a lot? What happened to that? In skyrim race literally plays almost no impact in the game.

It was one of the first interviews he said he wanted the race you choose to impact the gameplay and your character as a whole. Claiming thered be a lot of diversity between the races

I dont see how "wanting something to be in the game" is akin to saying it is and lying, personally...

I always thought he was just talking about how they look... But, it's been a while. I try not to dwell on things people said more than a year ago.

Upon retrospect, I probably wouldn't have liked that. I'm glad to have a system where I can play any role as any race, instead of HAVING to choose High Elf or Breton for a mage, etc.

I figured TC meant more like how you're received in game. Maybe not, but yeah, either way it goes against the whole "play however the hell you want" aspect of TES.
