Why do you play this on console instead of PC?

I'd love to play Skyrim on a PC, but I've been a console gamer ever since the Megadrive and I've not looked back. Good a good collection of games.

Maybe when the next gen consoles come out I may look at it, but I do enjoy sitting on the sofa reclined back playing the 360 or sitting in bed wrapped in the duvet in the dark playing the game.

The first answer everyone quoted hits he nail on the head.

Also, I love Xbox Live, it is wonderful. It is better than the PC social programmes. I enjoy just dropping in and out of friend's parties who are playing different games or sometimes Skyrim too.

The achievements on Xbox Live are the best kind of achievement system right now. I like achievement hunting on there.

It mainly boils down to convenience and general love for Xbox. Playing on PC would ruin Skyrim for me, I would be too tempted to mess around with the game and it would get boring quickly.

Didn't have a good enough PC to play it.

I honestly thought the mods for this game were pretty poor. It's not a good reason to get it on PC. My reason for playing it on PC was mainly maxing out the framerate, and availability.

I usually prefer MMO, FPS and RPG's which benefit from the keyboard mouse combination.
Though I use a Razer Nostromo because it's a dream to use.

Skyrim... the control system was specifically designed for a console. On PC the limitations of those controls is just counter intuitive and clunky. For the 360 the controls felt a lot smoother. Now I could go and buy a PC gaming control and re-map all the buttons, but that kinda defeats my reasoning for playing on PC.

Skyrim... it did kinda feel like a Console port to PC.

So really, there are good reasons to play it on console.

It just happens that I'm more into the type of gaming genre that benefits from the PC's control system and graphical ability.

To paraphrase a brilliant madman:

"A console is like your basic sports car, and a PC is like a ****ing racing-grade car. They both do roughly the same thing, but the race-car can go way faster, is more expensive, and more impressive. But honestly, I don't care. My sports car does what I need it to do; get me to where I need to go. It's all I need."

A Honda Civic would get you where you need to go as well.

So would a Model-T.

I'm not sure why I clicked on this thread in the first place, but it's clear that most people who play on console are simply lacking in PC knowledge.

1) Buy a wired 360 controller for your PC
2) Hook your PC up to your TV: You can even use wireless
3) You don't have to upgrade your PC very often these days because games are generally console ports
4) Don't use console commands to cheat, use them to fix bugs
5) Don't overly mod it until you're finished with the base game

Now, for those of you who have other priorities, that's great, but it's silly to sit here and say the console version is superior.

Simply, when this came out I didn't have a pc that could play it. Now that I do, I don't feel like spending money on a second copy of a game I already own, especially since I haven't bought any of the DLC yet.
