Are people seriously anti-mod? Why? Most modders are hobbyist, to call them neckbeards and antisocial is a sweeping ignorant view. What is wrong with the modding community simply doing what they like and producing what they want for there own benefit, Modders dont mod for you people, they mod for themselves. Objection. They do mod for other people. But yes they do it cause they enjoy it. I guess thouse who post their gratefullnes are an added bonus.

The idea of mods is great. The application though is completely different. It's mostly big anime swords, anime hair, skimpy outfits and nudity.

Mods are wonderful. We don't have to wait 6 months for a patch when the community can create one in a week. We don't have to wait on disc based DLC, we can create our own. The first "DLC" for Morrowind was a user created adventure, or mod for the simple minded. Go here:

You got to be a frigging idiot not to see how fun it can be. And some of you, just to be an ass, will still hate on it. Just keep paying your 60 dollars for yet another derivative COD title and whining because you suck and everything is OP. You could have a PC and not wait 2 years for a DLC that's already on the disc. You could spend your spare neckbeard rant time working a part time job and building a rig. But it's easier to sit here and be the 2012 Internet Tough Guy because you don't own a PC for anything other than coming here and checking your worthless Facebook page.

I understand giant penises and child rape just find...and I still hate them...the fact they tend to drive the modding community is what makes it all the more sick. A good 50+ percent of developed mods deal with oversized sex organs, outrageous body mods, or fetish clothing items/sex related addons....I have no problem with people modding their games, what I don't like is people trying to lie about the fundamentals. Face it, a good number of modders are driven by some kind of perverse fantasy they that use Skyrim to simulate. Yes there are some good non-sexual mods, but there are also a boat load of purely sexual driven ones too. Have fun with it I suppose, but stop trying to cover up what it is.

Anyway, the reason people like mods, including me, is for multiple reasons. They can keep you playing the game longer with more content, they can fix bugs developers never fixed, they can change things about the game you didn't like, and they can even add entirely new, awesome things, like the ability to build and manage a small town.

Wait they have town management now? The last I've seen was Rivenwood castle. and did they make a mod that fixes safved file (not loading) loading time bug.

Mods range from completely overhauling the game/graphics to fixing those tiny little subjective issues someone might have with the game.

What I can't f***ing stand are the people who think they're smarter than game devs because they used a mod to fix an "issue" with the vanilla game. Especially when they mod it to the point where it's broken and unbalanced as hell, and then rag on the developers for making a completely different game. Of f***ing course you'd like a modded version of Skyrim better, you pick what mods go into it!

You do realize that generally console to PC ports are terrible, and the modding community DOES, in fact, fix the game by doing things the developers either didn't understand how to do, or simply refused to do.

And yes, the modding community did fix many of the Skyrim issues simply by making the inventory system not a terrible, horrible piece of trash that it is in vanilla.

Ok. I definetly been away from my PC too long if they added the kid stuff. Last I heard kill were only killable.

Mods let you change the game to whatever you want.

Some people want gameplay changes.
Some people want to add to the experience.

Not really. I used FCOM on Oblivion, and while it was great when it worked, it was so buggy for so long it wasn't worth the hassle, otherwise I really have no desire to go download mods for the PC version of this game because I'm enjoying it completely unmodded on the Xbox..even though I own both. So..your point is lame, snide, and very defensive...why so defensive?

If I had a PC there's a load of Magic, and Weapons and Armors (not talking those Skimpy armors but proper Armor Add-Ons and re-skins) that I'd love to have.

Really Skyrim, Fallout 3 and New Vegas, and Oblivion are all making me want to get a better PC, GTA is also up there because there are some cool mods for that as well.
