mystique-Posted 12/12/2012 12:25:07 AM | i really like block and find it very useful in battle and some people just think the skills there to fill spare space...... what do you think? |
RebelElite791Posted 12/12/2012 12:26:56 AM | No, quite a lot of people think block is great, myself included. --- Rebel is pretty much a planet, pulling all sorts of moons and satellites his way, among them good, bad, foolish, trollish, and everything else - SeaArrKing |
Kurisu420Posted 12/12/2012 12:32:50 AM | Love sword and board --- Playing : Madden '13, Forza 4, Battlefield 3, Skyrim, GT:BIGChris454 Clan:Clzn Zulu |
zeroboboPosted 12/12/2012 12:46:06 AM | i have a hard time NOT using sword / shield. its just so fun --- Gamertag: Clonedzero |
XydruPosted 12/12/2012 12:52:11 AM | ^^^ All of those.
I've never heard someone say it's a waste skill/space filler. Only how op it is with the veggie soups. --- Sorry baby, I was off being a swan for Leda. She loves that kinky stuff. |
darkportal785Posted 12/12/2012 12:55:14 AM | I try to stray away from it. I've had 4 different characters who went Sword and Board, the temptation to use a shield is always there. --- "I am the Princess of the Night. Thus it is my duty to come into your dreams." |
Ajd_KingPosted 12/12/2012 12:56:12 AM | I can't remember anyone saying block is a filler skill. |
chrono7777777Posted 12/12/2012 12:57:46 AM | Block is very very good. Eventually though my dual-wielding, max enchanter/smith decked out in hyper-improved complete daedric gear character had no reason to carry a shield... Elemental Fury made everything die too fast. Never spent a perk on the block tree.
My second character is all sneak/archery/illusion/backstab, so she's been relatively low on blocking as well. If she ever gets into trouble, the primary tactic has been "run away!"
Recently though that alt (whom I decided would have NO crafting skills) found a Glass Shield of Major Blocking (at level, like, 18 or something ridiculously low), so suddenly blocking has become pretty dang awesome. Still no motivation to spend perks.
In other news, a zero-crafting character is actually incredibly awesome. It means things can actually be challenging, AND I no longer have any reason to hoard anything at all. The only stuff I pick up is stuff to sell and unique items for my home chest. That's it. |
MortsllemPosted 12/12/2012 1:06:55 AM | I find it easier to dodge their attacks then counter-attack. Yeah you can block but that just leaves them to attack you quickly again, unless you shield bash in which case you have like a free attack max. Secondly blocking let's you get surrounded very quickly, zipping through enemies and attacking a couple of times, then dashing away let's you fight multiple opponents at once. |
deadpool223Posted 12/12/2012 1:08:38 AM | i generaly avoid shields, but on my last char, a imperial general type, i started using one and loving it. --- honk HONK honk HONK http://i.imgur.com/NztEG.gif. :33 < fus ro paw, |
