Seems like a lot of console Skyrim players hate the Skyrim PC crowd

People are stupid and probably insecure if they gloat about how their system is better than another's. Pay no attention to them. I used to be a console gamer, but not anymore, I switched because I find it more fun, and 60 FPS is very nice.

About the porn mods, do you honestly think there would be none if there were mods allowed on consoles?! So generalizing about that is just ignorant and stupid. I have never touched one of those mods ever and it's a very small amount of people that do.

And for the PC players that come here to gloat about their PC, GTFO.

it's just a little annoying when people seem to have no concept that 1200-1500 dollars is different than 300. i'd love a good pc, i'm getting there, but until then it's kind of like a guy in a porsche puling up next to my toyota and saying "driving really is better in a porsche, you should have gotten one". of course it's stronger and faster, but there is maybe a slight chance that some of us have different responsibilities and resources.

Good PCs aren't THAT expensive. Even 400-500 dollars could net you a really good PC already.

Oblivion and Fallout has already been ruined by the countless anime mods like Mystic Elves, and I'd hate to see the same thing happen to Skyrim.

But claiming one platform or the other is superior is ultimately subjective. "Superior" to pc users is not "superior" to me.

- I know pc graphics are better. But I don't need ultra realistic graphics. I quite like the graphics on the xbox. I don't need them to be any better.

- I don't consider controls better on the pc. I value comfort in my gaming sessions. A mouse and keyboard is not nearly as comfortable for me as a gamepad for anything other than strategy games (the only pc games I buy).

- I know you can hook up the pc to the tv. I tried that a couple of years ago. The tower did not fit in the tv stand compartment so it ended up looking awful (which royally angered the mrs.)

- I don't care about mods in the slightest. At their worst, they are aesthetic changes like nude mods and anime mods that destroy the game environment for me. At best they are changes to gameplay that I feel are unnecessary. I have played through the game multiple times with pure mages. Never had a problem. I don't need a mod to bulk up my destruction magic. Sure there are some genuinely useful mods. But they are few and far between and I don't need them to enjoy the game.

- Building a pc IS quite simple. But even if I take pc gamer's claims that upgrading the pc isn't expensive (my experience was quite expensive but maybe they know how to find the deals better than I) at their word, there is still the fact that I have to go through the process. I haven't had to upgrade my xbox. Ever. Every game I've bought in the last eight years has been ready to play without any additional money having to be spent. This is huge for me.

So you see, for me (the only opinion I value when making purchases), consoles are vastly superior. You have different criteria for optimizing your gaming experience.

Of course none of this explains why you are on the xbox forum to begin with...

The modding community is a very small subset of the pc gaming community. Opening up the console and inputting commands doesn't count, and yet many in the PC community seem to think they're a part of the awesome mods just because they installed them. Why should it matter which version is "better". You never saw console gamers trolling the pc boards because xbox got DLC first. The PC community seems to think (my awesome library of four games runs better than they would on a console, so that makes me a better person than they are, Im part of the elite. Which of course makes people assume they're all elitist pricks. For example, rather than say "oh I'm glad to have all this great stuff on PC" on the PC board, they come to the Xbox boards and try to put down console players.

Edit: In short, PC gamers aren't well liked by console players not because we console players are "jealous" of what they have. It's because they are grown men who think and act just like children, waving around their shiny new toy in front of the kids whose parents say "you can't have that". It's the same reason the kids on south park don't like Cartman.

TC even some PC players (myself included) hate the PC crowd. That's why I come here and not the PC board.

You could always not use it. Those type of mods doesn't mean that automatically every person's game becomes like that.

PC players are 30+ virgin neckbearded social pariah perverts that feast off of their parents' money.

Serious Answer: PC is undeniably better. But when PC players come to a console board and tell everyone that has problems to get a mod, it becomes grating.

Also this: Exhibit A

Return it, save up, and get a good PC.

And don't give me any grief about them being too expensive. I bought a relatively decent one for $1500, making minimum wage at Burger King. "Too expensive" is just a petty excuse.

that guy is a troll, you can easily get a good pc for around $500 which can be gotten with a minimum wage job if you save, now before you jump on me, I do own an xbox and love it, it's just I like having a pc because despite what many people think there are exclusives to it

The consoles are more practical for you, but hardly superior. These reasons (for me btw) are very petty and if you had a hard time to hook your pc on your tv, using controllers and spending more than you think you should, that was your fault, I guess. I admit that pcs are somewhat more expensive, but it seems that you just didn't know the right steps to enjoy pc gaming.

also, there are many ps3 users here and many console users go to pc boards to ask for help in building a pc. I don't see anything wrong with people using this board in particular.

And fenriswolf, these mods only ruins the game if you use them. I advise you to uninstall these mods and move on to something more suited for you.
