zeroboboPosted 12/16/2012 8:27:12 AM | not, they're a bunch of petty thugs.
that second quest where you run around collecting "protection money" made me feel awful.
i will give oblivion credit there, the thieves guild felt like a good guy stealth guild, and the dark brotherhood felt like the bad guy stealth guild. in skyrim i feel like a petty thug and a sociopath assassin if i join them :\ --- Gamertag: Clonedzero |

zeroboboPosted 12/16/2012 8:39:43 AM | i think the next game should have a hunter or ranger guild. its stealthy, heavily based on archery. and is all about tracking down and hunting monsters. making traps, ect.
maybe have big monsters like hydras, and if you can sneak well enough you can sneak around inside its lair and drop a stalagmite on it to do massive damage. --- Gamertag: Clonedzero |
SchesparnPosted 12/16/2012 8:39:49 AM | Not even a bit.
Morrowind's Thieves Guild, sorta. Not exactly the guild themselves, but their leader, Jim Stacey, offered these Bal Molagmer quests, aimed entirely at helping the needy through the theft of the rich. --- Look, for the last time: Kirby has explained it over and over! http://i279.photobucket.com/albums/kk138/Schesparn/11911255317531.gif |

Running around collecting protection money was lame and makes the player feel like a thug. There was also no option to get rid of the thieves guild. --- Carl Kolchak: You should meet my boss. There was also no option to get rid of the thieves guild. because they come up in several other questlines/quests if you could wipe them out you would be screwing yourself over massively. --- everytime i think i've seen it all... someone does something stupider |

Evil_SandwichPosted 12/16/2012 9:10:08 AM | "Noble Thieves?" Lolno. Never.
They steal things and therefore will ALWAYS be bad people, imo. |
RikashiPosted 12/16/2012 9:10:13 AM | No, but that's what I liked about them. It felt weird to roleplay a thief in Oblivion yet go around dungeons and helping people instead of going after he big money. ---
