Why do a good majority of people make female characters?

I mainly play female characters, but my reasons vary from game to game.

Sometimes its as simple as a stat-set. Some female characters just get abilities that are superior to what the guys get (Disgaea's mages, FO3's Black Widow Perk).

Sometimes the male models are just way too muscular and/or just don't look right. Try playing a human male on WoW as a priest or mage. You'll end up looking like a mage who spends more time at the track than learning magic.

Sometimes I am involved in an RP and want to use traits that are considered 'feminine'. Call it sexist but people are a lot more receptive to a nice woman trying to be friendly and being very kind than a man.

Sometimes it's just cooler/more interesting when your character is a girl. Shirtless kung-fu monk? Jet Li/Jackie-chan knock-off. Kung-fu woman? You don't see that every day.

And sometimes I just really don't care either way and end up going female.

Some men just like to play dress up. And subsequently f*p to their games. Some people, with certain conditions that won't be listed, I can understand.. but for the most part? Come on, they make real porn for that.

And because they want to, because it's a roleplaying game, or because they're that horny.

This.... if I make a female character, it is mostly to look at their curves... do I get points of honesty?

I don't remember when I've played as a female character, simply because I have an easier time roleplaying as a dude - easier to place myself in the character's shoes. I have no problem playing as female characters at all; I pick Shanoa from Castlevania as one of my favorite portagonists, for example. It's just that when I play, as stated, I like to place myself there.

That said, since I've already played as "myself", I'm itching to play as a female Breton Conjurer, who uses elemental summons. That's a stark contrast to how I usually play.

I rarely create female characters in any game, but now and then I will. In Skyrim, I have made a total of one female (a wood elf) and didn't keep it very long. I don't feel right creating female character, but will use pre-made ones without hesitation.
