And arisen, every depiction of the Dwemer i can recall shows them bearded, so it certainly seems to be a cultural standard.

Now while I can understand how someone could think that is an accurate depiction of a Dwemer without the proper information you have to realise that Bethesda never intended for that npc to be "de-ghostified".

so the colour of the skin really can't be used in a discussion about Dwemer skin colour.....for all we know giving that npc that skin colour was the best way to achieve the perfect ghost colour Bethesda was going for.
They could well have used purple skin to achieve this.......but we wouldn't be sat suggesting the Dwemer were purple if they did would we?

.....the facial features on the other hand I'm not too sure about?
When Bethesda have made ghosts of npc in the newer games they haven't wildly changed facial feature as far as I'm aware, so who knows?

Only being a "separate race" because of them branching off from traditional worship and instead worshipping the Daedra?
Did Chimer always mean "changed ones/folk"

Oh yeah I had the piles of crap too, lol. But I did get some LOTR legos from my mom this christmas, so that certainly brought back some childhood memories ^__^ (Probably my favorite gift :P I always whined about how I always wanted LOTR legos as a kid, and they never made them, but now they have them).

Yeah I have DB, and love it. It's also incredibly more substantial than I thought it'd be, as far as the amount of quests and stuff to do goes.

I almost choked up upon hearing some of that MW music start playing, lol -__-
