Though Stormcloaks winning means Skyrim can force the Thalmor out, which even though weakening the Empire by losing Skyrim, makes them have one less direction to have to defend from.

The Empire will lose High Rock as well if Skyrim withdraws, based on geography.

Consolidation of forces can really be a good thing.

this is still going on? for gods sake kids, the only diffrence between the 2 is unified empire or independent skyrim, thats it. there is no racism going on within the stormcloaks, people assumed that because there stupid and saw one dude picking on a dunmer. the empire isnt activly telling elves to kidnap people, there was only one quest that hinted at that, and it was the empire getting rid of an enemy combatant, not selling them for there elf masters.

the dunmer refuse to stand up for the city they live in, thats the only reason the dunmer ae mistreated. if they joined the stormcloaks and made themselves useful, then they would be treated fine. and before you bring up the argonians, remember that the khajiit are kept out of imperial citys too.

I thought Ulfric made the Dunmer move to the Gray Quarter and put the Argonians clear out of town when he became Jarl.

no, they were givin the grey quarter, everyone who already lived there moved. and im pretty sure it was the dunmer that got the argonian kicked out of the city anyhow.

On the one hand:
Consolidation actually worked against the Empire at the end of the Great War-why should Hammerfell and Skyrim stop fighting just because the Cyrodiils are getting ROTFLstomped?

On the other hand:
The Imperial laws kept animosity between races in check. Without a strong Empire, the Argonians kicked six different colors of **** out.of the Dunmer, (who totally had it coming)the Altmers raging egos threatened to overwhelm all of Tamriel, and the Nords can get away with mistreating our good friends, the Argonians and Khajit.

Screw the Dunmer. When the last generation of slaveowners dies out, then I'll consider their plight. Everything I've seen so far in Skyrim and Dragonborn, I file under "just desserts."
