SchesparnPosted 1/8/2013 4:42:17 PM | Summon Karstaag, I mean.
What kind of situation could you possibly be in, where you would want to use this?
3 times, and you just simply can't do it anymore, as far as I know. Can't, like, re-fight Karstaag to "recharge" it, or whatever. Just 3 uses, and it's gone forever. --- Look, for the last time: Kirby has explained it over and over! http://i279.photobucket.com/albums/kk138/Schesparn/11911255317531.gif |
Orpheus_DemigodPosted 1/8/2013 4:49:28 PM | I haven't got him yet but I'm planning when ill likely use him. I haven't done much main quest yet so I'm thinking the ruin you get flown to (skuldafn?) with all the deathlords outside could be one potential use, another against Alduin. Other than that I have no idea, and I'm not saying ill NEED him at those bits, just might be the most useful times. The first time I fought the keepers in the soul cairn I could have used a giant that's for sure!
But you're right, it's sucks if you only get to use him 3 times. I guess it's more of an homáge to blood moon than anything. |

mdfmkrules9999Posted 1/8/2013 8:40:53 PM | Yeah it seems pretty idiotic that it'd be a limited use summon. I'd never use it.
Seems like they have to make a few things that make no sense or just plain suck. Dragonborn has it's fair share of things that should have been awesome but suck because of weird Bethesda decisions |

I'd probably use Karstaag for some of the civil war battles. Just for kicks. --- Sometimes I edit my sig so it continues whatever I was posting about. |
theonyxphoenixPosted 1/8/2013 8:59:01 PM | You can't summon him vs Alduin, or so I hear. --- Testing: V/Necromage/Bend Will; Armor usable with Mage Armor and hidden +25 armor/pc; Augment Ring of Necromancy |
Decimator11Posted 1/8/2013 8:59:45 PM | I'd bring him out to fight Alduin in Sovngarde, or, if that's impossible, on the Throat of the World instead. |

rodman870Posted 1/8/2013 9:03:09 PM | Have you seen karstaag fighting something? He would be extremely over powered if he were to be summoned an unlimited number of times.
Almost every outdoor fight would just be "Oh, just recharge karstaag and he'll kill it instantly."
Anyway that's why I think they made him limited use. Why they didn't just power him down a little I'm not sure. Maybe they did it so that you would only use him in very key fights. --- I like tacos more than burritos. I'm going to eat a taco, then a burrito. Get it right people... |
