How do you not shout Masks or Full Helmets off?

When I use Unrelenting Force, what is holding Krosis on my face? How does it go through it? Let's say I was wearing a full helmet and I use Fire Breath. How do I not melt my face?

Same reason you can cast magic with gloves on. Shouts are magic. The projectiles don't come from inside your mouth.

That's why I said Masks and Full Helmets. The ones without mouth holes.

When you soul trap someone, how does their soul get in the soul gem? And if it can get in, why can't it just get out? Also, why don't fireballs don't burn down buildings? Because they're magic? I DON'T BELIEVE IN MAGIC.

It's not the sound that is actually manifesting the magic response, it's the words and your understanding of them.

So the effects of the magic aren't emanating from your mouth as part of the sound waves, rather they are a catalyst to the incantation. If the sound waves themselves were carrying the effects, you wouldn't need form words to make it work.
