The only races that have any sort of damage boost, are Khajiit, and Argonians, but only towards unarmed damage.
No race does more melee damage than anybody else.

Like I said its miniscule but its there. More for trivias sake than actual utility.

High elves are the best for any type of character, simply for the ease of grinding...
