I think demanding a rewrite while the game is still in beta/pre-beta is better than demanding a rewrite after it's already released.

Actually, I hope it does. Besides the fact that it would be hilarious, companies need to know that they can't take a dump on the story and expect story-gamers (like Rebel, Brenz, so on and so forth) to sit with their thumbs firmly in their asses while they watch.
