I am pretty sure you just changed the words of an Albert Einstein quote. Give credit where it is due...

Frank Zappa quote, actually. You're right for calling me out, though, I should have attributed it to him. Nothing I ever post is original.

Or funny.

Screwed up lore or not you know they are going to make bank just because it says Elder Scrolls.

In other words, they don't care at all and we can expect the same in the future if they make another.

Not necessarily true. There are lots of examples of gaming companies trying to pass a lackluster product off under a really good name, and getting pummelled for it. I think Baldur's Gate 2 on the Xbox is an example of this. And Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel.

They'll make a little bit of money at first, but there are WAY too many entertainment options nowadays for people to buy and play something just because of a name.

BG2 on Xbox? Check again.

I think he means Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance 2.

Really? My impression of Bioware fans was that they are the ultimate fanboys who worship everything Bioware does, even if it doesn't make any sense.

This seems like a really silly thing to get upset about. TES lore is pretty lackluster already, and I'd expect any story to get worse in MMO form. I'll enjoy it if the gameplay is fun, regardless of whether they decided to shift story elements around or not.

Lacking a quote currently, but the Bosmer seem to have been fairly butchered as well. They look like Night Elves and seem to ignore the whole "Green Pact" idea.
This whole game is incredibly irritating all over.

As long as it fits in with the overall tone of TES and isn't overused or abused, I for one think its OK.

I think you'll find this is where people are having an aneurism. This whole thing between the Orcs and the Redguards, and the way they're changing the very nature of the Altmer, is completely out of line with the overall tone of TES.

Yeah. "The Altmer now only pity the humans as a younger species that needs guidance, sail in swan ships (what the f***?) and have WHITE SKIN" isn't even remotely fitting with the tone of TES.

Plus Summerset is being turned from glass/insectoid magic buildings to brightly colored castles. The f*** is that?
