Sells for over 1,000 gold even with the absolute minimum alchemy level and no perks. --- Please do not post a picture of your fecal matter. ~AverageAverage |
Leviathan412Posted 1/30/2013 11:22:19 PM | -Join the Companions, Thieves Guild, or Dark Brotherhood and do their random jobs.
-Blue Butterfly Wing + Blue Mountain Flower makes a decent potion (even better if you have a Giant's Toe to add)
-Keep all weapons you find, enchant said weapons, sell
-Old reliable...loot everything you find and sell it off as is |
JMCYodaPosted 1/31/2013 6:03:00 AM | I found alchamy to be a real money maker. I have about 1000 unsold potions in one of my houses, and every few in-game days, I clean out my spouse's gold selling them to her. Having done the Crimson Nirnroot quest, sometimes I get a free double potion when I brew one up, and with the green thumb perk, I am pulling double mix items (says only for plants, but you get double eggs from nests and charred skeever skins, too). Items pile up fast and so does the potions. Doubt I'll ever sell them all, but I'm just about set, money-wise, for the rest of the game. --- He is Risen. |
1Denton28Posted 1/31/2013 6:13:33 AM | Buy or mine copious amounts of iron ore.
Cast transmute (leveling alteration)
Make tons of expensive gold jewelry (leveling smithing quickly)
Sell expensive gold jewelry (raising speech)
Profit |

Seriously though, either alchemy or use the banish enchantment which can be hard to find but is totally worth it. Just smith or pick up weapons, enchant with banish and sell sell sell! --- It's better to regret the things you did than the things you didn't do. |
EricxPosted 1/31/2013 9:26:55 AM | Go to the orcish stronghold of Narzulbur near Windhelm and mine all the ebony from the mine there. Sell it to the orc at the smith for like 2k+ septims in a matter of minutes. You can also go to Dawnstar and get slightly less gold from the quicksilver mine. |

SoulOfFaythPosted 1/31/2013 9:31:54 AM (edited) | Loot the enemies you kill. Without smithing, enchanting or alchemy I usually still have around 5000-10000 gold by the time I reach lvl 10. Money is the easiest thing to come by in this game. Also I've found using Alchemy for financial gain to be incredibly tedious because you constantly have to check up on sites to see what the most lucrative potions are you can make. Just buying out a shop's inventory and blindly making potions till you have none left will probably net you about 20 failed potions and even less gold. --- The mind is like a parachute: it only works when it's open |

Chop wood for Hod. All day, all night. Find a book, read Rebel's latest thread, whatever; just keep chopping.
Hod got some deep pockets, let me tell ya, and being level 1 with over 2000 gold is kinda cool, proof that hard work does pay off! (And that was overnight in-game, not real life.) --- Redguards Rule! |
