Need help starting Break of Dawn quest

I'm at the standing stones but the quest isn't starting/activating. I am over level 12. Any help would be appreciated.

The standing stones don't have anything to do with that quest.

My mistake, I didn't mean standing stones. I meant that I was at the statue and Meridia won't start talking.

Idk if there's any other way except for randomly finding her beacon in a chest

If you are at least level 12, and have one of the most recent patches... just go to any other dungeon, and you will find her stone.
It spawns in the first boss chest--that spawns its contents--post level 12.

I don't have her beacon and I don't know where to find it... I was told that she is supposed to talk to you which then starts the quest and then she tasks you with finding the beacon.

It's in a random chest and you got it the wrong way round 1st you get the beacon then she talks to you.

It's in a random chest and you got it the wrong way round 1st you get the beacon then she talks to you.


My mistake I figured it out. But the way you told me wasn't how it happened. I reloaded the game and went to her statue and she started talking to me and told me to get her beacon.
