Stalhrim armor with Bonemold Boots and Gauntlets is pretty good. The color contrast is rather neat.

Carved Nordic Boots and Gauntlets
Ebony Armor
Dragonbone Helmet

for traveling, I tend to wear clothes

Mourner's Clothes (the black ones)
Leather Boots and Bracers

sometimes I wear a Silver and Sapphire circlet too
and always, always a silver amethyst ring

Well don't that just beat all?

I don't like the contrast of the fur texture with the ebony metal, and a dragonplate helmet sounds like it wouldn't fit at all but to each his own. ( :

Dragonplate helmet looks sick with stahlrim armor as well as ancient nordic in my opinion.

I think it's cool you have separate traveling clothes. I might try that on the next playthrough and, when coming under attack, use slow time and then suit up. To the enemy, it would look instantaneous. Althought, I suppose using the same method to cast dragonhide would make for a neat roleplay as well...
