The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

I sided with the stormcloaks, and now denngier is the thane of falkreath. I have the hearthfire addon and it says speak to the jarl of falkreath, but when i speak to denngier nothing happens. I'm already thane because they are letting em buy property. is this going to be stuck in my misc quest list forever now?

Wow... I need to build a damn house fast, so I can research these bugs. It appears to be the buggiest part of the game (including BoTI).

the quest says speak to the jarl........and the quest arrow is pointing right at him, but when i speak to him he has two options that have nothing to do with the quest which i"ve already talked to him about.

In my experience, that quest is only completable if you get it very early.
Like before you have ever been to Falkreath, or more specifically, talked to the Jarl.
It seems to only be completable if you have not already spoken to him.
From what I have seen, that specific quest's only purpose is to replace the "Fetch me some mead!" quest he initially offers, and stick you onto the "Kill some doodie-heads for me!" quest.

When I got the letter from the courier, jarl dengier was the thane of falkreath. Siddgier was not. This should of completed when I first spoke to him.

Should have, yes.
But that quest, like a great deal of others, are very glitchy.
If you do even the smallest thing in the wrong order, you are stuck with it.
