Anybody else prefer Oblivion lock picking

I thought it was pretty fun. I just think we should have left Fallout as Fallout, and TES as TES.

Obviously, since it required skill rather than total guesswork. Besides, I don't see a medieval fantasy world having modern style locking mechanisms like Fallout/Skyrim

I just wish they kept the Open Lock Spells from Oblivion.

"Leave TES as TES"

If that should be, then lockpicking should be like it in Morrowind.

To be honest.... morrowinds way of lockpicking was easier than oblivions...

I can fondly remember my first day and quest in oblivion trying to pick that damn lock of agarmir's house. Had to reload about 10 times only to then be faced with the basement lock. Frustrating but because of that i never had problems with locks again :)

Yes, but you see how TC might've worded it incorrectly.

True... but to be fair have the TES games in general kept to one lock picking style? I would think they could do a nice mix of of morrowind/oblivion/skyrim.

What they need to do is give us the Open Lock spell and a Bash option. A mighty warrior wielding a battleaxe should not be defeated by a Wooden Door simply because he's out of lockpics...

Hey there, sweetroll; I just cast Oakflesh... if you know what I mean.
