I don't understand this whole legendary skill thing. Help?

What purpose does resetting your skills have? Is it just so that you can level up faster and face harder enemies/better loot? Wouldnt you cop a massive loss in damage, Armor etc?

Why bother? So you can e-boast about your level? I don't ser what purpose having a higher level than 81 has.

I'm confused too. Can anyone else clarify?

Like for ex. Leveling to 81 means that you receive a set number of perk points, but there are more perks than points, meaning you need to choose wisely where you wanna put in your perks. So with a higher cap, what happens? I get extra perk points? or does everything reset like a new level 1 character?

And what is the new maximum level cap btw?

yes more hp mp and sp as well as perk points aft4r level 81 and it means more survivability when you play on legendary dificulty because of higher health stats and i havent really tested it on my pc but according to other pc users it nullifyies the lvel cap but i think it means you can level to 162

So.. new cap is double that of original, I see. Also makes sense for those playing on new difficulty level. But If I continue playing on normal difficulties, I can still enjoy the extra HP and perks?

From my understanding there is no level cap as you can keep dropping skills and leveling them.

Main point is more health/stamina/magicka and more perks. Theoretically you could keep leveling until you have every perk in the game.

Sounds cool but very time consuming.

Does the required XP to reach every new level keep going up like the original 81 did? or is there a certain max cap (which would be huge) to reach subsequent new levels?

I thought it resets perks?

If you really, really wanted to, you could level all the way to level 252 (there are 251 perks available and you start at level 1, netting you all possible perks) or higher, but that would take an obscene amount of time
