Do Conjured Weapons Increase the Weapon's Skill Type?

I've never used conjured weapons playing any ES game. If I conjure a bow or one-handed weapon do they increase the associate weapon skill too?

Yes, in the same way as using normal weapons.

Yes and benefit from any perks the physical weapon counterparts would.

Yes, and they are burningly awesome. (visually at least)

Dual-casting Bound Sword will rock your Conjuration to 50 in no time.

Perk accordingly and you can have a fun and challenging build.

I *believe* bound weapons cannot be disarmed, but I'm not sure.

A good question is whether taking the increased bound weapon damage perk also increases the xp gained when using them, seeing they are going from like steel base damage to daedric base damage.

I'd like to know myself...

Dont think so, since they are just an enchanted version of the base weapon.

Actually, they are an entirely new weapon.
According to the Construction Kit anyways.
So, in theory, they would indeed increase skill up rate.

...I could be wrong though, it has been awhile since I checked.

UESP says that the banish perk has turn undead effect as well and is a level 99 effect...

Anyone not see this? That's a bit of a gamechanger right there for me.

Also, yes and thanks, the perks for bound weapons are treated as enchantments rendering Elemental Fury useless and don't boost xp gained:(

Edited: What walrus said makes me think a test is in order to confirm one way or the other, thanks rampage!

Mystic bound weapons are indeed different weapons with higher base damage, so you will get more experience for using them.

That turn undead only works on creatures raised through necromancy though. If it turned ALL undead it'd be a lot more worthwhile but then the turn undead restoration spells would lose all purpose.
