Dragonscale is a type of weave involving chainmail, which is medium armor to me. Is the armor in game made of chain/rings?

Imperial Dragonscale Armor:

Would Dragon remains be subject to decay? I'd imagine a non-magical set of armor crafted from 3,000 year old materials would have lost some of it's beefiness by then.

Oh, and here's the armor I was thinking of:

They obviously made plenty of equipment using the remains of Dragons. I wonder, now that Dragons have come back, will Dragon materials become a common armor tier in future games? Surely the Dragonborn wasn't the only one who slayed dragons and made daggers out of their teeth; he's just the guy who eats their souls.

Hell, dragons just might be a rare boss enemy in the next game. They can't all have been slain.

The dragon skeletons in Skyrim are still around, though of course they are scaleless. I suppose certain things could've been done to preserve the armor.

I wouldn't want to see them as a common item tier, but I wouldn't be surprised if they show up in some way; and I'd quite like them to.

I don't know, I wouldn't mind it being at the same tier as it currently is; the best Light Armor in the game, and second only to Daedric for Heavy Armor. It would definitely be extremely rare; if dragons are in the next game, I doubt they'd be as common as they are in Skyrim, and that could still open them up for crafting. That said, I'd rather there was more "ritual" involved with crafting Daedric Armor, if it was made possible in the next game anyway.

And they should definitely return the Dragonbone Cuirass artifact. It's odd that it didn't at least appear as a unique item in Skyrim; a Dragonbone Cuirass with 100% fire resist would be b****in'.
