Wanted to use Ebony Blade, but why bother when it takes 8 hits and I can 1 hit a enemy with anything else... It is a two-handed perk weapon right?

Actually, there's a glitch with the Ebony Blade that causes it to be effected by one-handed perks, rather than two-handed ones. This page goes into more detail about it.

Fixed in 1.9. Even says so in the page you linked.

^ which is why I'm wondering.

Most 2 handers do around 51 for me.

EB dose 28, a little more than most 1 handers.

Apparently The Warden and Hawke went on to join Revan and The Exile in their fight against The True Sith. I expect Sheppard to join them soon- Cheator13

Ebony Blade has really low base damage of 11. An Iron Greatsword has 15. It's damage does seem to reflect more of a one-handed weapon than a two-hander.

Fortify Restoration loop a ring or a piece of Ebony gear with One-Handed damage.
Don't go overboard, just enough so that it's damage is on par with the smithed stuff.

I make a Silver Ring like that to boost Silver weapons if I feel like using them late game.

I don't get why the Ebony Blade is so weak. It sucks because I wanted a weapon that looks just like it, too.

I have One-Handed and Two-Handed up past 80 (and I can smith weapons to be about 100-ish) but the Ebony Blade cannot be improved, and its base damage is still in the 20 range. The infinite enchant is nice, but it can't kill anything but skeevers.

I was able to reload my assault rifle in front of one of them because they were too busy looking threatening. -Rob_Indahood

It's the swing speed and absorb health 30 pts that does it for me. My vamp with no perks uses it for fun.

Astrids dagger Blade of Woe is my choice. High base damage, and it needs NO ingots when you smith to improve it! Also faster swings.

Are there any other weapons that don't use ingots to improve? Why doesn't this dagger need any btw. Unless it was another bug left by Bethesda.

Look at this: up to 115 base damage legit. And up to 2,700 sneak damage.
