Where is Alduin? Lore plz

So, when the personifications of Daedra are destroyed they return to Oblivion until they have the power to once again make themselves known in Nirn.

What happened to Alduin when we "killed" him? I know he will be back someday but where would he be regaining his power at?

In the hell, raking up all broken people that he ate from both Nirn and Song. (Soul place where you went through that twice, once per Skyrim Main Quest and per Dawnguard Main Quest.)

And creatures. Look at Advark.

On subject.

If Alduin truly is an aspect (or part) of Akatosh then he would be truly gone. His existence would be at its end.

Think of what happened to Sheo. ...kind of. As another possibility.

If he is another entity altogether, he will be back. Which some speculate to be the case....

I'm just betting he had no soul ;)

I'm very tired, I'm not feeling too up to this discussion....

SUMMARY: He is either gone, gone. Or in atherius possibly even the void.

Also, tc, spoilers.

I remember some dialogue after defeating him about how he can't truly die. Can't remember specifics.

That's my point.

There are several paths he could have taken, I've just narrowed them down.

I'm drugged up atm. So, I'm not thinking extremely clearly.

It depends on who you chose to believe.

Rebel would be your best bet, as I'm not really worth too much right now.

I'm going to say this though:

Remember Vivec, his path is probably quite similar to Alduin's

What I believe is that he will return, but it will be so far in the future that Nirn would be near the end of its 'life' as it were and most of the races would already be dead anyway.

Well, you got the second one right, but you didn't for the first one (as part of Skyrim Main Quest, which was the place you were sending to stop Alduin himself.)

Yeah......no....

Anyways, he was freed of his physical shell/sent back to the Time Oversoul/what have you. He'll be back someday.

Makes you wonder where the souls he ate went.

Do they just get removed from the time oversoul or is there somewhere else they go to?
