I have been a assassin for a long time and now i want to be a mage,i have the archmage robes but they dont look too appealing to me and i was wondering if anyone knew if there are any different looking mage clothes

The Temple Priest and Telvanni robes added in Dragonborn are the best looking IMO but suffer the same ridiculous effect as most robes in the game, a 75% magic regen.

The best in terms of effect is the Archmage's Robes, even if it looks like a pancho.
"Okay, look. We both said a lot of things your going to regret but I think we can put our differences behind use. For science. You monster.

Just go for the red Vampire Armour. Serves both purposes, but looks very good on busty laydees!
Did I spell something wrong? Please, feel obliged to point it out in the most insulting, patronising, pointless way possible. I will do my best to ignore you.

There's also Miraak's Robes/Armor.
Spell absorption + chance for an explosion to occur when hit.
Sunny D - Not even bacon can make it better.

Vampire Royal Armor is cool, and you can get an unlimited amount by pickpocketing Serana.

Telvanni robes.
Everything's better with thrusters.

Dark Grey Vampire Armor of Peerless Destruction.

Destruction spells cost 25% less to cast, magicka regenerates 50% faster.

Temple/Telvanni Robes for robes
Vampire Lord Armor for enchants, and looks nice.
Diadem of the Savant, Miraak's Boots, Fine Armguards, and Tullius' Armor + Alteration because you can.
