So.. since Talos has achieved CHIM as well as god-hood, won't the Thalmor efforts to nullify him by preventing his worship be futile? It's odd too how some in-universe individuals who have not achieved CHIM are aware of the concept of CHIM (ie Heimskr, although he could just be quoting scripture, unaware of the meaning)

Anyone remember the lore (can't honestly remember if it was an in-game book like 'Words of Clan Mother Ahnissi' or some rambling MK stuff) that mentioned Azura I think, appointing the Khajiit as 'guardians of the veil' or something like that?

I'm sure, by the time TES:VI rolls around, TES:O will be made non-canon somehow. I doubt Bethesda will just say it's not, but I bet the lore will go in a direction that makes it largely irrelevant.

Or Bethesda will hire on the TES:O "loremaster" and TES will be ruined forever. </3

Correct, the Thalmor's efforts against him are futile, because they do not entirely understand what he is doing. They assume, like other gods, his worship is what gives him strength. This is incorrect.

I think Heimskr is aware that Talos, as a god, reshaped Cyrodiil, but that doesn't necessarily mean he knows how Talos did it, aside from "I'm a god, I do what I want".

To your first question, yes.

Everyone knows Talos changed Cyrodiil, they just don't know how. I very much doubt that many mortals know what CHIM is.

And yeah, the Khajiit have some connection to the Lunar Lattice/liminal barrier between Mundus and Oblivion

Peryite being "the next Akatosh" was one of the things I mentioned as not mattering to the plot. So, CHIM is how they explain Cyrodiil being a forest... and... what? So CHIM is just an excuse for retcons? That's hardly meaningful.

I am known for not being able to express my views totally clearly, so maybe my viewpoint could be better explained by a flowchart:

The Peryite thing has nothing to do with MK. It's of unknown authorship, unless something else has been revealed taht I'm not aware of.

No, it's not "just" an excuse for retcons. I already explained why it's mythically significant <_<

And What is Ur Tower?

Just another name for the Direnni Tower. Or the Adamantine Tower. Same Tower, on the Isle of Balfiera in the Iliac Bay.
