Ive always been a wizard, OR an archer... But watching Gladiator(russell crowe), one of the greatest movies of our time(in my opinion, EPIC tragic movie).. Was considering a gladiator build.. What skills, race, bonuses, perks, would be BEST for a perfect gladiator build? Any suggestions? dual wielding WITH decapitations(great scene) "Are You NOT ENTERTAINED"? Good example..

Imperial.

Sword (Imperial. It's really too long to be a gladius but it at least is shaped correctly) or Mace and shield.

I'd say armor is up to you, but Imperial Light seems the most fitting.

No magic, and probably no Archery. I doubt there were many successful archers in the arenas.

No 2 handed weapons right? What about perks? Bonuses? Etc?

I'd say a gladiator with a battle axe is acceptable. They used all kinds of weapons, some exotic as the fighters were captured from all over the empire UNLESS when u say gladiator u really mean a Russel Crowe build

Russel Crowe build! Definitely!! 1 handed with shield OR 2 handed swords... Whats the CLOSEST helmet to roman? Would it be dwarven? Or something else?

The Imperial Officer Helmet or the full-faced Imperial Helmet.

Great choices, both of them.. Using 2 swords is there anyway to MAXIMIZE decapitations? Or raise my chances much higher of doing them?

Don't think they got that there option when building your character. I'm thinking low stamina, and you should carry butter with you all the time.

For maximizing finishing moves? Don't use weapon enchantments; if the enchantment is what kills your foe then there will be no finisher. For the same reason poisons would probably act in a similar fashion if using a damage health poison.

Personally if I were to make a gladiator build, it would be very similar to a generic warrior. Perks in all physical combat skills specializing in one hand blades.

As for dual wield or sword and board, I seem to recall him using both so have some variety with your fighting styles seems appropriate. I don't recall him ever using archery in the movie but he would probably have some training as a marksman, I wouldn't give it any perks but would still use the skill.

Shouts wise, slow time and battle fury are probably the only ones that fit the build. For spells, you might be able to justify fear and inspiration spells but that would be it.

Other perks, avoid death would make sense as he get his second wind when dealt a near fatal blow. He would probably also have perks in speech for persuasion and intimidation.

Good advice, thanks.. Also, whats the BEST ways for a pure warrior/gladiator to RESIST magic effects? Any suggestions?
