I was playing Oblivion not too long ago as well. It was somewhat nostalgic, but overall I realized I enjoy Skyrim a whole lot more.

I did miss Oblivion gates though. Well more specifically, running through the wilderness and the sky suddenly starts glooming red. Miss the wild daedra too. And seeing the different regions like the swampy appearance of Blackwood or the tranquil Great Forest outside of Chorrol.

Overall though I enjoy the rigid arctic atmosphere of Skyrim better though.

Although one thing I surely DO NOT MISS from Oblivion are the character models.

Thankfully, it's possible to create much better looking characters yourself.

the "modern game color palette" is definitely pretty bad in skyrim, I want some COLOR in my games :/ there are some nice areas like around the rift and falkreath but most of the places where you spend the most time are terribly dull

Pssh. You just don't appreciate what Bethesda was trying to do. Skyrim is gritty and dark and REAL. Bright colors don't belong in realistic games like Skyrim. Leave that in your s**** weeaboo anime games.

Realistic?! Pssh...........

Oh...... Never noticed that...... Okay........

Yep, I wouldn't bring realism into a discussion about a fantasy game. I prefer the more vibrant style in Oblivion but I understand why Skyrim is not like that due to the climate and environment. I like how Pimp acts as if only anime games are colourful which is claptrap.

I get plenty of mysterious feelings in Skyrim, seeing all these ancient Nord ruins, I try to wonder what the place looked like back then.

Same as the Dwemer for me.
Loved that game.

I tried playing Oblivion last week. Didn't get more than 10 minutes before I started playing Skyrim again. Never looked back.

I think I'm gonna play oblivion sometime. I didn't play since skyrim came out. But oblivion was my first xbox 360 game. And my first elder scrolls game. I just remember being blown away by the graphics and music. The music is the best, I have it on my mp3 player. So there is nostalgia, it's kinda weird saying that when it's not that old but the xbox one is almost out now I guess.
