Best/Easiest character/class combination?

#1Saci_PererePosted 11/28/2011 10:42:52 AM
So, I just got this game, and though I always play RPGs as a mage I read on this board that mages are underpowered on Skyrim, mainly due to the weakness of the destruction school. So, what is the best(and easiest) character/class combination to play this game with? Im mainly a story driven player and I usualy try to avoid complicated mechanics. If possible, Id like to play a strong roguish type of character with high charisma/speechcraft. ANy tips?

Lol...uhh, not sure who you heard that from. The impact perk will allow you to stunlock and kill several enemies simultaneously without getting scratched.

The only class I can get by with on Master difficulty without too much frustration is a summoner. I also use destruction and restoration. But I primarily summon things and let them tank for me. Once my summon has gained the enemies attention I attack.

That's entirely possible too. Sneak is very strong in this game.

Hmmm, I skimmed through this board and there seems to be several topics pumming the destruction school, but as I said, I havent started the game yet, my download is 87% ready on steam

not really
you can glitch it to 100 in like 20 mins, and the perks are...pretty meh imo, except one that lets you sell anything to any vendor which greatly helps in grinding enchanting

Not really. It might be frustrating to find an awesome 3000 gold item and only get 1000 gold for it, but at the end of the day, you'll end up with tons of money anyway. There are some persuade checks, but nothing too important IIRC. And you can usually bypass them with a bit of gold anyway.

Probably because there's a lot of people who are new to these types of games who don't realize that raw damage is not everything. Crowd control is as or more important.

Awesome. Just make sure you pick up the Impact and Dual Casting perks for Destruction as soon as you can. Once you get those is when destruction really starts to shine.

Also, something I didn't realize at first is that the Impact perk doesn't work for the Novice level spells. Or at least it hasn't been for me. Make sure you pick up Apprentice level destruction spells by the time you get the Impact perk.
