was it a bounty mission by any chance? I got a mission to kill a dragon at such and such a place, but I had already killed it. So when I went there a new one had spawned. When I didn't get a soul, I assume that was why.

Ooh its exactly that! It was at Autumnwatch Tower. I'd already killed a dragon there and went again to kill another one. --- a knock, a thud, a tiny...zwoosh, where? Please, call me Aneed [http://i.imgur.com/FTmkH.jpg]
For dragons that chill out above word walls at fixed points (Eldersblood peak, for instance) you can only get their souls once. Random encounter dragons will still stuff you full o' soul. --- Don't quote me on this. ~LeonDragonHeart Oh you son of a b**** I just noticed your sig. ~LeonDragonHeart
My game stopped giving me souls also. It does the animation and shows the soul absorbing into my avatar but it doesnt register when I go to learn a new shout that I have any souls. FML Deleting the game until they get their crap together. --- PSN: xKRYPTONOPOLISx
I actually ran from a dragon and lured it to a fort one time. The residents (I think mages) attacked the dragon as I ran off. I fast traveled back there a few days later and the dragon was outside, obviously dead. I walked up to it and absorbed its soul.
I've yet to not absorb a dragon soul. --- I do many things in this world, and I find them all to be ironic in execution. Why? Because I believe we are in the Matrix, maybe.
