Fastest way to get Alchemy ingredients?

Waiting 48 hours for stores to restock seems rather inefficient.

Ah, I remember doing this for the Dawnstar Chest. Nice to see that it works for all shopkeepers.

Haha! I do something like this all the time at the blacksmith in Whiterun when I have a lot of junk to sell, since their money pool(s) reset too.

Oh, for the love of Talos! Alchemists buy Dragon bones & scale for *Serious Septim*! Get to know the alchemists in all 9 major cities (all the minor places you pass through). And also -- the "general store" peeps. Buy all the ingredients & sell them dragon stuff -- Fast travel if necessary (will plus-up some dragons ...)

Rarer stuff has been Youtubed (Jazbay grapes ... etc)

It's really a strange mechanic for the game to have.

In fact, something similar to this killed Ulfberth War-Bear in my current playthrough. I wound up getting caught stealing, so I just starting spraying arrows everywhere, and the first person I hit was Ulfberth. Reloaded, went about my business, blah blah. Twenty minutes later, I come strolling through the market to find him dead, 10 feet from where I had killed him. Loaded two old saves prior to killing him, and he was still dead. I made a topic here, people told me to move on without him, and pretend the game just killed him with a random assassin or something. I visit his urn from time to time. Maybe he had a heart attack, or stroke? His wife doesn't seem to care. He was always nice to me, so I like paying my respects to the guy.

Yes, but
a) if you don't want to make potions, there's not much value levelling alchemy
b) it takes a lot - a real lot.
