Fortify Enchanting Potions

#1KidKupoPosted 11/24/2011 11:40:13 PM

Was wondering where is a good source to find Fortify Enchanting Potions, or alternatively a recipe to make them?

Apparel with FORTIFY ALCHEMY increases effect of potion by xx%. Potions with FORTIFY ENCHANTING increase effects of enchantments by xx%. In theory you can do the following for unlimitedly strong enchantments.

1. Enchant apparel with FORTIFY ALCHEMY.
2. Create potion with FORTIFY ENCHANTING.
3. Use potion and enchant new gear with FORTIFY ALCHEMY.

Repeat step 2-3 until you can make super potions.

I can't seem to get this process past +27% alchemy on gloves, necklace, ring, and falmer helm w/ +20% Krosis glitch. My alchemy is 100 with all perks. So for some reason my enchantment brews are stuck at +17% which is rly frustrating. Any ideas?

I would try taking off a couple Alchemy buffing equips, see if all the buffs are overloading the skill in some odd way.

This is the source for the following breakdown. It might be wise to read through this post to get the gist of what this fellow did in order to make some incredible weapons and armor.

Fortify Enchanting Ingredients: Blue Butterfly Wing, Hagraven Claw, Snowberries, Spriggan Sap.
Fortify Smithing Ingredients: Blisterwort, Glowing Mushroom, Sabre Cat Tooth, Spriggan Sap.

Simple Step by Step Directions
1. Once you have max perks and 100 in each skill...
2. Enchant fortify alchemy helm, ring, gloves + necklace. The buff should be +25 on each for + 100 total.
3. Put on the gear and make 4 fortify enchant potions (+ 27ish?)
4. Use those potions to make better fortify alchemy gear. Note... You have to be quick because you only have 30 seconds per potion.
5. Use that gear to make better fortify enchanting potions...
6. Keep repeating 4 - 5 until you can make fortify alchemy + 29 on each piece (116 total)
7. Use 4 +32 enchanting pots to create fortify smithing rings, neck, gloves and chest.
8. Make some fortify smithing potions (+130% with your alchemy gear)
9. Craft daedric armor, shield and weapon.
10. Put on your smithing gear, drink the potion (130 + 116 = +246% to smithing), then improve your weapons.
11. Make about 10 enchanting potions (+32)
12. Enchant a ring gloves and neck with fortify heavy armor and fortify one handed. I believe the number was 29 for armor 47% for weapon? Not in front of computer.
13. Enchant health / heavy armor to chest.
14. Enchant one handed / stamina to boots.
15. Enchant helm with whatever you want... (archery... Magic?)

I am going to try this once I manage to get Alchemy to 100.

It doesn't work, since the max bonus you can get with the alchemy enchanting with all the perks bonus is 20% instead 25% as you said, using 4 pieces you get a 27% bonus potion in alchemy (at level 100 with all relevant perks), using this potion you can raise only 2% on each piece, doing this on a Falmer Helm and using the 5 pieces, the potion raises 4% wich raises only 1% on enchantig (each piece) and i believe that you won't get about 10 falmer helm to make the 29% alchemy pieces...

So, the max bonus that you can get with only 1 falmer helm is 23 * 4 = 92% smithing with enchants, and 125% with smithing potion = 217% bonus, and if you ask me, its good enough, cause there is still the one handed and heavy/light armor bonus.

And i'm sorry for the bad english, actually i'm brazillian...

its extreme overkill. there was a thread on the bethesda forums, where a guy said he did this process with all related skills at 100 and all related perks, and got his damage and armor up so high it passes the 1000 mark, and the game glitchs to only show the last 3 numbers in damage and defense, because its not coded to display more then 3 digits.
