when i played oblivion you could get a piece of armour or ring etc that let you detect life and also breathe underwater,now i know you can have these as spells or potions etc in skyrim but are they available as a piece of armour or ring like it was in oblivion...?

I've got a scroll of detect life, but haven't seen an enchantment for it.
Werewolves can also get a power to detect life if I remember correctly.

hmmm a detect life shout.... kinda defeats the object of wanting to detect life but stay hidden when you are exploring caves and dungeons lol

The detect life shout comes out as a whisper. Don't worry you won't alert enemies if you use it.
