5 cool things you probably didn't know about Skyrim

I dunno if it was mentioned earlier, but i apologize if it did:

I did a lot of research when making my "Arcane Archer". In D&D an Arcane Archer uses magically imbued Arrows. However, since this isn't a thing in TES, i also used this build to delve into Alchemy and Enchanting.

Elemental enchantments. First, there is the obvious boost from the Enchanting Element perks. However, in the destruction tree, the three elemental "Augment" skills also boost your elemental enchant damage. Furthermore, if i can convey this correctly, You can invest in, say... Fire. You get the Augmented Flame perks and the Fire Enchanter perk. But, you want your sword to be both Fire AND Ice. The damage boost of the Fire carries over to Ice as well. Furthermore, if you ALSO invest in Augmented Frost/Frost Enchanter you get both increases ADDED TOGETHER!!

Also, since i used Conjuration, the 'Augmented' skills do NOT increase the damage done by their respective Atronachs.

Also, the Bow 'bash' does NOT get benefits from the Bash perks in the Block tree (soooo bummed about this one).

Combining enchants for maximum damage is mentioned on the weapon section of the build (page 4). But it is a little known fact , so raising awareness of it will benefit us all.

Didn't know about block perks not affecting bow bashing. Wish it stunned for a little longer or did more damage. Especially considering the stamina cost. Maybe Bethesda will fix this in an upcoming patch.

Sorry everyone, there was a mistake in my previous posts. You actually shouldn't switch Daedric Smithing for Elven or even Iron. Regarding armor and close range weapons, you will hardly feel any difference. The problem lies with bows. Weaker bows have a shorter draw time and a smaller range. Stronger bows require more time to nock the arrow, but have a far greater range and overall power.

You can find a video about it here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TorcRKAQXLU

And a more detailed discussion, regarding how this conclusion was reached, can be found here:

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim_talk:Archery#Practical_tests:_hunting_vs._daedric:_arrow_speed.2C_range

Anyway, sorry for the mistake. Should have gone through the data first.

Hello everyone. Here are 5 other cool things you probably didn't know about Skyrim:

1- The Great Battle of Skyrim

What happens when fans try to make an awesome game better? Mods, for one. But what happens when they take their creativity one step further ? Behold The Great Battle of Skyrim, an amazing video that combines various cool mods with fine directing to create a unique spectacle:

2- Assassin Tutorial

Playing as an assassin is probably one of the most challenging and rewarding forms of combat. While mages can keep opponents at bay with spells and warrior can control the pacing with footwork, an assassin plays a game of cunning, patience, precision and above all, does everything with style. One mistake and you end up squished. But the rewards are well worth it. Watching opponents fall like flies when hit by an arrow or when slashing their throats is incredibly fun. If you wish to embark o this road, or simply refine your skills, watch these videos:

Part 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dc3D4p5h_O8
Part 2:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qp0Aydx-eV8

The video creator, SEPHxxFORxxLIFE is , along with Nightingaleassassin, one of the greatest assassination masters. His channel is filled with cool videos and guides, including an assassin walkthrough for Master difficulty.

3- 5 Interesting Places

As the saying goes: "The Daedra is in the details". Here you will find unique locations off the beaten path, which show how much care the developers had in every aspect of the game (except bugs, but nobody is perfect):

Part 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3E3OXTvgdpQ

Part 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yZ2_K8VvSug

4- The Siege of Markarth

What is the mark of a great assassin ? Being capable of sneaking in undetected? The ability to kill targets in an instants ? Or his resourcefulness, being able to adapt to any situation ? The answer is: the ability to do all of the above WITH STYLE. Watch as a master assassin sneaks in the middle of a huge battle, outsmarting every obstacle in his way and displaying such skill as to make Altair and Ezio walk away in shame:

5- Archery Guide

Ever wondered which bow is the best ? Or what Archery perks are worth having ? Maybe you would like to learn how to snipe enemies from great distances ? Look no further. Here you will find everything you ever wished to know about Archery:

Anyone know where to find Human Hearts and Human Flesh ? They are some of the best poison ingredients, but there are very few samples and even less sources:

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Human_Flesh

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Human_Heart

Also on that note, what are your mass produced poisons ? By that understand poisons that are very useful in battle and use ingredients that are easy to farm or common in alchemy shops.
