Creating fortify restoration potions.

#1ArabianPenguinsPosted 5/18/2012 4:17:49 PM
What ingredients are required to create a fortify restoration potion and how many of each ingredient is needed? Also, how is the percentage of the increase in restoration determined? Is it random? Based on your skill level? The number of ingredients used?

Thanks for the help. I'm gonna try this out later. Hopefully, the ingredients won't be too difficult to acquire

salt piles are super easy to come by, either by vendor or random barrels.

i'd recommend a fish for the second ingredient. if you start at markarth and dive into the nearby river you'll accumulate tons of both kinds in short time.

Thanks. Does it specify the amount of each required ingredient required? I'm trying to make sure that my character's fortify health attribute reaches 500% in as few potions as possible. Also, is there a limit as to how many of these potions that your character can consume at a given time?

Just take a swim from Riverstead to Riften. You'll end up with about 24 of each the longfin and spadetail. There are also no slaughterfish to worry about in that stretch

You just need one of each to make the potion so you can make about 24 potions. The swim only takes about 10 min if you start at Riverstead and go downstream to Riften.

I find small antlers pretty easy to come by, since I kill anything that moves (good target practice). Small antlers + salt piles and you're golden. Just drink them til you get to the level you want.

Also, worth mentioning here, you need one of each to make a single potion. Depending on your alchemy skill and perks you may need a bunch. Glitches aren't my strong suit though.

So far, I have 4 Longfish and 6 Spadetail, as well as 6 Salt piles. All I'm missing now are the antlers and pearls. Will this be enough of the fish and salt to create a potion with fortify restoration 500%?

Depends on your skill, alchemy perks, and what fortify alchemy gear you're wearing

don't bother with antlers and pearls they're much rarer. You only need TWO of the ingredients
