Can you turn off quest markers?

I saw in some other topic about some "hardcore" mode people invented etc etc. But one of the rules they had was that you had to turn off quest markers.

Is it true you can actually do this?

Yeah because people making things up on a message board means that said things are official.

Not too bright are you?

I never said it was official, i was asking if it was, because the other topic i mentioned made it seem like it was an actual feature in the game.

Turn off quest markers for hardcore mode?

Sounds pretty half-assed. Why not just set HUD opacity to 0%?

Thanks to the people who answered, that's awesome.

And yeah i don't care about any "hardcore mode" etc but still turning off quest markers will be nice. I just hope the npcs actually give good directions in order to make up for not having it.

I think they added a spell called "Clairvoyance" or something (Yeah, spelling's off I know)
Which leads to your target, or the exit of a dungeon or something.

I don't think they will give you markers. During one of the videos there was some spell called Clairvoyance which when cast, will make a line on your screen directing you to your next objective. I hope they will be optional, I intend on challenging the game without being led exactly to the next spot.

Think there is a compass which you can turn off this time, and a spell (name in post above mine) that guides you to your destination la fable.

No hud opacity just makes it hard to know your health/mana levels but it would've been nice to have a clear screen and some kind of other indication about health and mana level. A game named trespasser from the 90's had this, you needed to look down at your characters boobs (yes, you played a girl!) and there was a tattoo heart which showed your health.
