This'll set your Smithing to 100 without granting you any levels.
It's so easy to powerlevel Smithing by crafting thousands of iron daggers. I usually do that at around level 6, training enchanting along the way to get a profit for the mats, and end up at level 20+ just by killing foxes, mudcrabs and wolves for their petty souls. It's so easy it takes away the feeling of achievement for me.
You won't be getting those mats for Daedric or Glass armor anytime soon, so it's not like this cheat makes you stronger instantly(although I think your armor upgrades would be stronger). That is, unless you craft Dragon Armor, mats are easy to come by for that.
Heavy: Daedric is better than Dragonplate, and not as easy to get mats for, specially when you're low level.
Light: Dragonscale is better than Glass, but wait until later to craft it so it won't break your game.

It takes away your ability to get the levels from it though --- I will not change this sig until Alterac Valley is reverted pre-BC http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/969937114 12/21/08

Yeah, that's the whole point of doing it actually.
