I just did two dungeons and got one skill up, this is getting ridiculous.

Don't target creatures that you can 1-hit. Crank up the difficulty if you must.

Well what is your skill at, and what spells are you using? Higher level spells seem to make the skills level faster, so if your skill is 25+ and you're still using Flames then that's why the skill isn't leveling well.
The world gets weirder every day.

You have to use higher skill spells to level it up faster, which is very stupid considering you're forced to use firebolt for a long time due to the efficiency of it.

I have 80 enchanting so my spells only cost like 8% of what they normally do so I'm spamming fireball (the one with the area of effect) and I did 2 dungeons like that and I still only got one level.

it just takes a while. use the mage stone for 20% faster skill ups and/or well-rested for 10% more
Why are you always smiling?
'Cause it's all so ****in' hysterical.

Levelling any weapon skill is like that too. It gets really slow towards the end. Train it 5 times per level if you want it maxed so badly.
