Bound Weapons + Mystic Bindings = Flawless Deadric

#1DomiMMKPosted 11/23/2011 9:45:02 AM
I made the post in another thread but I thought I'd make a post about it, for better reference

With 100 Conjuration + 100 Archery + Mystic Bindings

Bound Bow = 36 Damage
Daedric Bow = 29 Damage

* Under the assumption you aren't abusing Smithing to tell via Fortifying*

100 Smithing = 11~ Damage to Bows
Legendary Bow = 40 Damage

Leg. Deadric Bow + Eleven Arrows = 56 Damage
Leg. Deadric Bow + Ebony Arrows = 60 Damage
Leg. Deadric Bow + Deadric Arrows = 64 Damage
Bound Bow + Bound Arrows = 60 Damage

So from this we can gather that a Bound Bow with Mystic Bindings is the same as a Flawless Deadric Bow

I haven't done the tests with any other weapons but the numbers match up pretty well so we I assume they all follow the same pattern

but you don't have to waste points in enchanting and smithing. Allowing you to diversify your character a bit more...

how do I edit this post -___-

Forgot to put in

Flawless Deadric Bow (100 Smithing w/o Perk) = 36 Damage

But yeah, I didn't make the post to say they were better, I just made the post to show how they compared.

Though it goes without saying, getting access to Flawless Deadric very early on isn't too shabby

Waste what points? Get them to 100, that's all you need.

Yup, thinking exactly the same really.

For the most part, you don't have to go Smithing since at max conjuration you can make Deadric Items which will then replace your bound weapons

I didn't put points into the Archery Bonus damage perk

Thank you very much, DomiMMK. I had been wondering how bound weapons stacked up against their regular counterparts (obviously barring enchants and the like). A weapon-summoning melee character has always been a staple of mine in TES games, and before I went off in that direction again I wanted to make sure it would be worth it.

Thanks!
