i'm fairly new to modding and im a little stuck on how to install a mod, specially the 4GB one. i'm trying to find TESV.exe on my computer and i can't seem to find it, even though i have TESV installed already. anyone know what to do?

program files > steam > steamapps > common > skyrim > tesv.exe

Or, you could open your start menu and run a search for tesv.exe

If you can play the game, it's there. If it's not in the "...Program Files\Steam\..." directory try "...Program Files (x86)\Steam\..."

well im seeing TESV, so i think that may be it. but its not .exe

Does it say "application" under the file type column? If it does, that's it. Windows usually has hide file extensions for known file types enabled by default.

You have file extensions hidden.

That is because you're using the old Large Address Aware mod that was killed with the latest steam update. I too ran into this problem after the Steam update. This is what you need to do to fix it:
1 - Delete TESV and SkyrimLauncher out of your game folder
2 - Open steam, right click on Skyrim, select properties
3 - Go to the Local Files tab and click on Verify Integrity of Game Cache

This will download and install new copies of the 2 files you just deleted, allowing Skyrim to run again.

Now, to get the large address function to work, use this instead:
http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=1013

It is a standalone application that executes the exe file with a flag to use 4GB of memory, rather than the old system that modified the exe file itself.
