Does the console code to change the level of your follower affect their skills or abilities, because I heard those do improve? I'd mention that they don't care about you committing crimes. I also had Lydia die in that area before Sky Temple. I was shooting arrows from afar and assumed I'd hit her by mistake. Maybe the other 2 friendly NPCs killed her by accident like you can?

Bug with Esben not talking or opening his door can be fixed by extracting Skyrim - VoicesExtra.bsa using bsa extractor.

Where can you store things without fear of them disappearing? -seems like everywhere on the ground and all the containers in your Whiterun house are safe if not ALL containers.

Important note about werewolves is that you are forced into third person. Have not used it at all because of this.

"Refreshing" the characters does affect their skills, yes. From what I understand from the various topics on the board, followers do increase in actual level normally; some people claim that their early-game Lydia would run away when they use the werewolf's howl of fear (which affects anyone under level 30 iirc) but late-game would not run away.

The problem is that the only thing that changes is the level itself, and not the actual stats and skills. Refreshing the character with the console fixes that, albeit only up to the level you are currently at when you do it (so you refresh the character at level 30, but you'll still need to do it again at level 50 because the follower will have level 30 stats).

In regards to crimes, followers just have a VERY high tolerance for your criminal activities. However, they will eventually attack you if you hit them enough in a short amount of time while outside of battle.

all of this stuff is nice to know, but really... practically all of it is find-out-able by just googling it (and something most savvy people these days would do before stumbling their way here to ask the same question).

How do you think google has all it's information? It doesn't magically appear on it's own... People have to post it on the internet first for google to be able to find it. I figured a savy person like yourself would have understood that.

So without topics like these the information cannot be spread. Keep it up TC!

Quite a bit of good info for a TES/Skyrim n00b like me.  Thanks!

If your horse doesn't appear at stables anymore when you quick travel, does that mean they died?

So do you always have to babysit your horse? Kinda sucks when you want to go to a place your horse would have difficulty traversing or could die from falling. I'm guessing getting shadowmere would solve this problem unless something hit shadowmere really hard or i fell a great distance while riding.

whatever he feels like

you know based on the fact that you can see Jubjub's posts in the codemann quotes just below him....... it makes me wonder why Jubjub was moderated in the first place.

this board is literally ridiculously biased with it's moderators & admins

Codemann are you a moderator??? if so, why are you modding this guy just for having a conversation & not agreeing with you? if not, what are you reporting every post he writes???

he's not flaming, didn't appear to be trolling, & wasn't being offensive

i seriously don't get why 90% of those posts were moderated......

i also will not be the least bit surprised if i get moderated for asking this

Not possible for that last part to happen. They only ever die if you hit them, or an enemy hits them while trying to hit you, after they have taken a knee (ie. AoE affect used by the enemy),
I've actually seen the last part happen a few times against a Forsworn mage who had an obscenely powerful ice spell (she was in the little village they have in front of the Sky Haven Temple). My follower was hit so hard that he simply died. Yes, I know that followers and NPCs can LOOK dead but are still alive if damage is high enough, but I confirmed the kill by going up to him and tryng to interact with him.

Actually, that makes sense, probably because those spells are damage per second. Wasn't that it was insanely high damage, but damage per second means it likely hit him, made him take a knee, and then killed him the following second.

-_- He was flaming. He was being insulting and talking down to the other guy. And FYI I modded a couple of his posts because he was instigating an argument just to hear himself talk and WAS indeed flaming.

I'm not a mod and I doubt codemann is a mod. I think you're just taking your own dislike of the mods to this topic. If you need proof of their bias then you should probably look hard for a better example.

Also when a post is modded they don't look at the entire topic so they only respond to that specific post. And I'm pretty sure it's not against the rules to respond to someone who is flaming, and if you yourself think codemann was flaming or instigating back then you (as a user of gamefaqs) have the ability to mark his posts for moderation.
