Sure it's annoying but it only takes an additional 2 seconds :/
You know that over the course of the average lifetime, we waste approximately 2 years of our lives doing that? Its kind of a big deal.

not sure if serious or simply....

Alt+Tab is quite easy. You need to figure out how.

1. Have some program running (like your browser) so that you can alt-tab out to it.

2. Open the console by pressing ~ while in-game

3. Alt+Tab will work flawlessly now.

Hmmm, maybe it's just my machine but even opening the console before Alt+Tabbing out, I still have to hit Alt+Tab plus click on the window of Skyrim to make it work. Windows 7 of course... BLEGH!

Yeah, sometimes, on Win XP, I need to click on Skyrim 3-4 times (slowly) to get back into the game but it does work.

No, he's right. Alt+Tabbing out is NOT fine because Alt+Tabbing IN is NOT FINE. It is quite annoying to have to click it twice. But that's me.

I thought I made it clear I was talking about two separate actions. Alt+tab out is when you're leaving Skyrim, alt+tab in is when you're entering it. One works properly, one takes a full extra click of the mouse.

Obviously both should work, it wasn't me defending anything.
