STILL can't see underwater

#1BowserCuffsPosted 4/6/2012 2:34:44 PM(edited)
Even though I've been doing what I can to try to fix it.

1. I don't have any FXAA injectors installed, at least not that I'm aware of. In fact, the FXAA checkmark in my video options is disabled.

2. I am not running Realistic Lighting or any mod which changes lighting or shadows. At all.

3. I cannot see underwater even with every single mod disabled. Every. Single. One.

4. These are the files I have in my Skyrim folder:

5. My list of active mods, even though it doesn't matter since the problem persists even with every single one of them disabled. This is from the BOSS log.

6. I am using near-minimum graphical settings:

Graphics Adapter: ATI Radeon HD 3200 Graphics (Yes, I know it's old graphics. Runs the game well enough for me)
Aspect Ratio: 16:10 Widescreen
Resolution 1024x640
Antialiasing: Off
Anisotropic Filtering: Off
Windowed Mode: On

(Advanced)

Texture Quality: Medium
Radial Blur Quality: Low
Shadow Detail: Low
Decal Quantity: None
FXAA: Off
Reflect Land: Off
Reflect Objects: Off
Reflect Trees: Off
Reflect Sky: On (Tried it with off, didn't work)
Object Fade: 15
Light Fade: 35
Actor Fade: 15
Item Fade: 15
Grass Fade: 0
Specularity Fade: 15
Distant Object Detail: Low
Object Detail Fade: On

Any other information you might need?

Also, I'm going to be trying this mod: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=14007

Hopefully, it'll work, but I'd also like to be able to fix it so I don't need it.

I couldnt see underwater, even in vanilla iirc. Might still have to do the water level glitch where the camera is only halfway below water. At work so I can't check for myself.

I was completely submerged under water and couldn't see before.

However, that mod has fixed it. Yaaaaaay.

You need to open SkyrimPrefs.ini and add this:

bDoDepthOfField=1
iRadialBlurLevel=2

*Don't copy this
bDoDepthOfField << For some reason this is set to 0, but this enables the blur effect when submerged underwater.

iRadialBlurLevel << This parameter increases the strength of the blur effect. Default is 2.

There is a good mod for this problem, Green Water Fix over at Skyrim Nexus.

It takes out the fog effect and replaces it with a slight blur insted. You can still see the water surafce over you head and have good distance visability. Realy IMO it looks better then when you could see under water.

hope this helps

I read this topic as "STILL can't see underwear." I was disappointed.

You must be psychic because I've also had trouble uninstalling a nude mod.

Except you aren't because I don't have a nude mod installed :D
