I honestly don't use an ENB anymore, and I had many visual problems I couldn't fix, so I can't help you with the ENB problem. Last time I used one was http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/4463 and it still hasn't been updated, much like some other good ENB mods.
You can accomplish the same things using Realistic Lighting by screwing around with it's ini file and running the JAR afterwards. Adjustments in game can be made by using Imaginator, and if you want DOF (Depth of Field/Depth Perception) you can use Dynavision. Even if you're too lazy for RL you can just download someone's ini and learn from it or use it entirely.

I personally like Photorealistic ENB but are you sure you put it in the right folder? It has to be in your Skyrim directory folder, not your data folder --- White FC: 2365-8972-1141 // HG FC: 1119 9819 0997 // GT: AppleJeZus Bark Bark! ~ Deino, Pokemon White and Black
