DonjonOPosted 9/16/2012 3:59:22 PM | Is it worth looking into this game?
I know a lot of people seem to have enjoyed Fallout 3 more but I found it to be dreadful: very few locations and thus a very empty map, the quests were very linear and the rewards were usually rather underwhelming and let's not get started on the story.
I feel New Vegas, while bugged to hell, seriously improved in everything I did not like about Fallout 3 (and felt a lot more like a Fallout game): the map is filled with stuff, the quests are less straight forward a bit more nuanced in terms of morality and the loot was generally more interesting.
So would you say that Skyrim is more of the same as Fallout 3 or did Bethesda improve upon the areas that I found Fallout 3 lacking in? |

And Skyrim is a mix of both. Dungeons are mostly kinda generic and with boring rewards (but there are plenty of dungeons) but the storyline is better than FO3, but not nearly on the level of New Vegas (which is a masterpiece IMO). |

Strange, since Morrowind and Oblivion were more fun to explore than Skyrim. /opinionofcourse it was also an opinion of mine , but I think that fallout 3 had more places to explore than new vegas , and skyrim is kinda a little bit less fun than oblvion for me (opinion) but I guess at that time i was just a dumb 14 years old with his first gaming computer --- Man died , came back to life , what did he see ? |

Maybe someone made a mod since Bethesda just doesn't seem to understand the importance of good loot! Diablo is a franchise that sells on loot for crying out loud, how can Bethesda still fail at making us want to do the quests?!
And I agree, Fallout New Vegas is one of the best games I've played since Half-life 2. A real gem especially once the bugs got fixed and the mods made it look a lot better. |

Sounds bad, but it cuts down on travel and increase the density which is a great thing: there's always something near you to go check out. |
dinosaur-123Posted 9/16/2012 4:18:51 PM | TC this mod might be just for ya http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/19353 Morrowloot were EVERY SINGLE pice of loot is handplaced so you can play the game like morrowind (run to get the boots of blinding speed lol) --- Man died , came back to life , what did he see ? |

I hope some of the stuff isn't too hard to find though, won't have anything to fallback on if I can't find something. Thanks! |
Mentalpatient87Posted 9/16/2012 8:41:09 PM | I loved New Vegas for the deep history behind all the locations and the amazing quests, and I loved FO3 for the gobs of random loot stashed in pots and boxes and corners.
