Clean install, what are must have mods that improve the world visually?

Looking for mods that improve the scenery and add to the experience as you explore. I found some that added flocks of birds, heavier rain and what not. What are some of the best/your favorites out there?

Climates of tamriel, simpler to install than those EMB things and looks better

RealRain with climates of tamriel patch is the best looking rain

Distant detail, less taxing than changing your ugrids setting and looks the same

Imaginator helper to deal with any contrast/lighting problems

Awesome, I'll check those out. Any others I should be looking at?

Also, are there any mods that improve the sound/speech? I can't remember if it was vanilla or modded but I would have to be looking right at someone to hear them. If I turned away or to the side it would sound like they were miles away.

Sounds of skyrim was great for adding to the sound of the vanilla game but it has long been abandoned for the save game bloat that it caused, i still have copies of them sitting around since i never ran into the issue with them.

Did a little more checking before posting if you can find pre script versions of it they still work great why i never had a problem with them. The ones i use are 1.1 i think the scripts came in version 1.6

Never argue with an idiot. They will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Climates of Tamriel is of over-rated, it adds hundreds of different weather effects but there's a lack of consistency and a lot of them don't actually look that good. I would use a good ENB preset if you have the machine to run them and then add realistic lighting overhaul for interiors or enhanced lighs and fx.

I've been doing a little searching myself but does anyone know a good mod to increase kill move chance?

The Dance of Death is the most popular from what I know

my mod list here has a bunch of good starter mods: http://feverclan.com/forums/23-elders-scrolls-skyrim/11788-new-essential-mod-list.html

Realistic Lighting Overhaul is pretty much the best lighting mod you can find right now.
