I was angry at the 55 DLc before but now

I don't care. Becuase it's jsut a bunch of stupid challenges, an Alex Mercer skin to please rabid fanboys, and a move and weapon.

If it was anything *really* important, that was story related, I would be angry.

Think its going to be more than 1 move though isn't it? Some of the prizes are going to be upgrade mutatios.

If you're referring to the "11 reasons" trailer; the move and weapon in that are from a DLC pack (Colossal Mayhem I think its called) not Radnet.

You mean the 55 DLC that comes with the game FREE when you preorder?
#4Tiberius4327Posted 3/27/2012 10:37:08 AM
and a move and weapon

It's not even those, they come with the DLC planned for early March.

Radnet is,
- 20 events (similar to the events in the first game)
- 20 challenges (similar to the stuff you would do for achievements/trophies, like 'kill 20 enemies in a single attack', etc)
- 5 developer videos
- 5 mutations (not new moves, it's things like +10% claw leap range, +10% damage to ground spike, etc)
- Avatar items/themes
- Mercer skin

It really isn't that big of a deal, especially considering you get it for free with new first run copies of the game. It's just that people see '55 DLC items' and overreact. I honestly think they shot themselves in the foot by telling everyone it's 55 DLC items.
Loyalty can't be bought at any price;
but it can be rented remarkably cheaply.

Well, I'm not planning to buy it any ways. Getting it through Gamefly, so I have nothing to lose.

If you weren't planning on buying it, then why were you angry?

You don't really show that you care for the the series or the overall story if you don't plan to add this to your library. (...or wait for a price drop or whatever.)

I mean if you want a shallow story fix (maybe even if it was DLC) there is always the youtube walkthroughs that will be posted eventually.

also as a poster mentioned above, the content before colossal mayhem (which is radnet) is free.

I wasn't really angry, I should've used a different word.

I wanted to rent it first to see if was worth my money. I don't want to waste 60 dollars for something that may not be good.

I was going to be upset because this would've been another greedy dev move that's running this industry to the ground by holding out important content from others.
But it's just a bunch of worthless challenges and skins that don't effect my experience.

Believe it or not, Radical (in my opinion.) are actually the good guys, unlike other Activision sub-divisions.

They listened to the "fans" and presented Mercer as DLC, they just want you to play their challenges first.

It seems that the bulk of the game is in Proto 2, unlike many other franchises that reveal a lot of content a week (or day) later after release.
