I stole it, killed the final boss and saved, loaded it up and the dark matter isnt in my inventory

This isn't FF4 DS. In regular versions of FF4 stealing the Dark Matter just weakens Big Bang's power. i also think you can throw it at him for 9999 damage.

Actually, I think the Dark Matter lowering damage from Big Bang was always just a rumor.

i wasnt asking what it did i was wondering why it was deleted from my inverntory i had 4 or 5 spaces left, i stole it, killed him(without using it), and saved, and when i loaded my clear data it was no longer in my inventory

The only way to save it, IIRC, is if you kill Zeromus' Spectre form with the Lunar Summon Grimoires. That will also allow you to keep the Crystal Golbez gives you.
