So hypothetically speaking, if you could only play one genre of RPG (past, present and future), which would you pick?
JRPGs - Tales, Final Fantasy, Persona, etc.
Western RPGs - Skyrim, Mass Effect, Fallout, etc.
Personally, I'd probably have to go with JRPGs... but its a tough call. --- Playing: Dragon's Crown, Tales of Xillia, Witcher 2 // Waiting for: Terraria (VITA), PS4, Diablo 3 (PS3)// Finished: Muramasa, The Last of Us, SMT4
Seeing as Fallout 2 is one of my favorite games and in terms of RPGs I've played more "western" ones. (I see them both as RPGs, I don't care where they were made) I'd have to go with the Western ones. I'd miss JRPGs though, cause it would mean less RPGs of any kind to play. --- http://i.imgur.com/I9CP9L1.jpg http://i.imgur.com/ZeJzXCR.jpg
I honestly have yet to play a WRPG that can keep my attention for more than a day of play. --- Currently waiting for: Mario and Luigi RPG 3, Ace Atorney 5, Pokemon X/Y http://card.psnprofiles.com/1/Shin_Omega_ZeroX.png
wRPG's and if you talked to me like maybe 6-7 years ago, I'd have told you JRPG's.
I'm at a point where I've seen it all, heard it all. played it all before. So what I'm looking for is just a solid gameplay experience to where i can build my characters, interact with characters and explore the game world.
JRPG is my most favorite genre, so it's an easy choice to make. The Tales series is my favorite series of all times, followed closely by the SMT series (and all of its spin-off's), and I almost never play any WRPGs. So it's JRPGs for me. --- Official Masakado of the SMT IV board Waiting for: JJBA All-Star Battle, Ys IV, Etrian Odyssey TMG, Pokemon X/Y, Drag-On Dragoon 3
