Any way to delete the save data?

Nothing in the menus or booklet about it. I can't reasonably believe that they didn't put in a delete feature.

Why would you want to delete it?

It's a present for a friend of mine but I don't want her to know that I already played it.

So you're giving your friend a brand new game that you opened and played?

That's low. I suggest one of two solutions:

1) Buck up and just be honest when you give the present.
2) Go back with the receipt to where you got it and tell them it didn't work, and get a new one. (This makes you a jerk)

You shouldn't of played it. Maybe pull the game out when it's saving and hope?
But really dude. Don't play someone's present. Dick move, zam. -_-

I knew a person who did this, apparently that person never knew why I never played the game that he gifted to me as a b-day present. I came home expecting a video game present and I find that he is playing the game already saying "oh you should play this game it's so awesome." I said I'd rather not and I don't like the game you can keep it. But he kept insisting that I keep it and wondered why I didn't want the game.

I heard you can erase the data if you put a magnet near the opened end of the cart

Buy a new game... or be honest.
